This editorial project was developed in collaboration with Magali Loffredra, a doctoral researcher in education whose thesis examines a largely unexplored topic: how teachers organize, store, and manage their educational resources.

As part of her research, Magali interviewed 23 high school teachers from the Paris suburbs, exploring their approaches to sorting, classifying, archiving, and accessing the materials they use to design lessons. In an increasingly “all-digital” era, her work investigates both tangible and digital organizational systems, revealing the hidden structure behind everyday teaching.

With a wealth of qualitative material to work with, our challenge was to design a publication that not only made these insights accessible to a wider audience but also celebrated the diversity of teachers’ approaches. The resulting booklet is richly illustrated and offers multiple entry points, whether through visual portraits, thematic texts, or “typical day” timelines, allowing readers to navigate according to their interests.

The content is structured around key themes: teachers’ life paths, their work environments (both personal and professional), the tools and resources they use, and their unique storage and tidying methods. By blending fun, didactic storytelling with rigorous academic research, this publication highlights an often invisible part of educational work, offering both newcomers and professionals a fresh perspective on teaching practices.

Currently available in French and soon in Spanish, Tell Me, How Are You Tidying Up? stands as a bridge between academic research and creative editorial design.
